They are just not 'Show' cats!
The cats that do well at adoptathons are easiest to find homes for. Who can resist the friendly kitty that comes to the front of the cage, purrs, and wants to climb into your lap right then and there! We also try to give our cats an opportunity to show how special they are by letting them stay for a week in the Luvapet adoption center to tempt all those busy shoppers to visit with them awhile.
But not all of our kitties can ignore the noise and confusion of being in a busy pet store. They may be just as friendly, but need a quieter environment to let that inner beauty shine forth. A visit with them in their foster home might be all that is necessary for them to find their forever home. But if they are not seen as friendly and outgoing at adoptathons or in the adoption center, they are often passed over and no one will ever know how special they really are.
Please read their descriptions and consider asking to meet some
of our 'non-show cats'. Our 'wallflowers' are just waiting for a
chance to shine.
